Very often you don’t need a massive budget or extensive media list to secure major media attention. Sometimes, all it takes is client availability and a well-written pitch. With the subject line “Want to fly a drone?” we netted Datron’s Scout, a pioneering product in the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (aka drones to most of us) significant media coverage with outlets such as CNN and Popular Science. With just a couple emails and follow-up calls, Datron’s name recognition exploded globally and helped secure two magazine covers in Armada and American Cop.
